DRAW PRESENTS YEARLY AWARDS

DRAW Person of the Year

The Person of the Year Award is given to someone who puts forth special effort to continually support DRAW over the years. This year’s Person of the Year is Rodger Brogdon. He has supported DRAW for 15 plus years; during his years of racing in the sportsman categories and now in the Pro category.

On the local level, there have been numerous times that he would give DRAW his previous year’s team T-shirts, to sell and raise money for DRAW. When NHRA changed the division logos, he came up with contests to give the shirts to racers and fans. He would cover the cost of the shirts for DRAW. He continues to think of ideas to help DRAW raise money to help the injured racers. Through his many efforts of supporting DRAW, he has always encouraged his friends, team members, and team owners to support DRAW in a mighty way, at our auctions and in many others ways.

DRAW Volunteer of the Year

The DRAW Volunteer of the Year Award goes to the volunteer who goes above and beyond the normal activities of a DRAW Volunteer. For over 20 years, Olan Gotcher has been the Publisher and Editor of DRAWing Attention which is DRAW’s monthly newsletter. In addition, he has been the Membership Secretary for several years. He also helps with DRAW fundraising projects and with various other activities.
