DRAW Recognized as Official Charity of the NHRA!

April, 2004 -
NHRA Charities LogoThe National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) has introduced a new program that recognizes charities within the drag racing community. NHRA launched its "NHRA in the Community" Charities program by recognizing three charities: The Drag Racing Association of Women (DRAW), the Darrel Gwynn Foundation, and Beat the Heat.

Established criteria for inclusion in the program includes:

  1. A charity organization that provides a direct benefit to NHRA and the sport of NHRA Drag Racing or helps those in need as a result of participation in NHRA-related activities;
  2. An organization whose mission is described as serving the NHRA community;
  3. The charity must be designated by the government as an official "charity" organization and be able to show proof of its status;
  4. The charity organization must be national in scope and capable of serving the entire NHRA "family", whether it be racers, fans, sponsors or track activities.

DRAW wishes to thank the NHRA for the privilege of being included in this select group of charities. DRAW will continue to proudly serve the drag racing community by providing financial and emotional support to qualified individuals injured in drag racing accidents at a track. 2004 marks the beginning of DRAW's 19th year of providing "Fast Help For Fast Friends."
